RE: Health Consultation of the DuPont Facility in Fayetteville.
Dear Mr. Butler:
This memorandum is to inform you of a pending health consultation of perfluorooctanoic acid
(PFOA) contamination of ground water near the DuPont Facility in Fayetteville, North Carolina. This
health consultation will be conducted by the Health Assessment, Consultation, and Education (RACE)
Program, Occupational and Environmental Epidemiology, Epidemiology Section, Division of Public
Health. The HACE program will receive partial fulfillment of a reporting requirement as part of a
cooperative agreement between the State of North Carolina and the Agency for Toxic Substances and
Disease Registry/National Center for Environmental Health, Centers for Disease Control and Prevention.
We are requesting your assistance in obtaining ground water data for, this health consultation.
John Masters from our staff will follow up with you regarding these data and the health consultation.
Recall that health consultations identify and quantify immediate, short term exposures from hazardous eld® �-j
