As discussed in Section 4.0 of the Revised Phase 11 Work Plan Update (December 16, 2005)
and Section 3.2 of the Phase 11 RF1 Report (June 30, 2006), DuPont was unable to sample
monitor wells NAF-05A and NAF-05B due to the location of these wells within the Naflon(2)
area exclusion zone until the area annual shut down. On October 19, 2006, DuPont sampled
these wells during the annual area shut down. At the time of the sampling event, monitor well
NAF-05B was dry and was therefore not sampled.
The enclosed table (Table 1) summarizes the analytical detections associated with groundwater
samples collected from monitor well NAF-05A As depicted inthe table only two -of the 22
constituents detected exceeded the applicable groundwater screening criteria. DuPont will add
this data to the existing groundwater database and update the site conceptual model as
appropriate in the next phase of investigation. If you have any questions, please do not hesitate
to contact me at (704) 362-6626.
