In February 2006, the DuPont Company — Fayetteville Works conducted sampling of the
Cape Fear River basin for the compound ammonium perfluorooctanoate (APFO or C8).
Attached are the results of that river basin sampling.
Please note that the highest concentration, 0.141 µg/L (0.141 parts per billion) in the Cape
Fear River at Erwin, was 33 miles north of, and upstream from, the DuPont Fayetteville Works
facility.
