Mike Johnson called today to give us an update on the study they are required to do
to submit with their request to relocate their effluent discharge line above the
Lock and Dam. Ruth Swanek (consultant) that Dupont has hired to do the study has
been using the new EPA model for this study and has found it does not take into
account dams in the stream. The old model does take into account this. She has
talked with EPA and they have told her to change equations in the program of the
new model to adjust for dams. She has also talked with Michelle Woolfolk on this.
She is going to run the old model and the new model to compare results. Mike will
keep us updated on their progress.
