Operators Certification Commission (WPCSOCC) as the 2009 Wilbur E. Long Industrial System
Operator of the Year. Your colleagues paid tribute to you and your contributions and
performance by entering your name in the competition for this prestigious award.
Each year the Water Pollution Control System Operators Certification Commission (WPCSOCC)
faces the challenge of choosing a recipient from among those who are nominated for this
esteemed award. You were selected from several very worthy nominations.
This award will be presented at the NC AWWA/WEA Annual Conference Members Luncheon on
Tuesday, November 17, 2009 in Raleigh. We plan to also arrange a presentation at your facility
in the presence of your peers.
I would like to thank you for being among those dedicated few who are extraordinary enough to
warrant this award. You and the other nominees represent the performance excellence
that the WPCSOCC and I so proudly promote.
