Another alternative is to create composite samples of the sediment from each lagoon and analyze to see if the material would meet DWQ's standards as a Class A material for distribution (this process would be more in line with Dupont's wishes to use the material at the plant site). Some of the testing necessary to demonstrate this would fall under sections 15A NCAC 02T .1105 - Pollution Limits and .1106 - Pathogen Reduction Requirements. Additional testing can be discussed during our meeting. Here are some proposed dates for meeting: the 8th or the 11th here in the Fayetteville office or the 14th or 18th at the Dupont facility. Just let me know the date and time that works for you. Larry stated that this issue is between DWQ and DuPont. Therefore, I am going to start on the application for the "Residual Land Application Program". I am assuming that we are in the "Dedicated" program, not the "Non -Dedicated" program. Please confirm that I am correct. Since I have never dealt with this program, there may be value for me to come meet with you and go over the needed information and application form (s) before I get too far along in this. I will contact you about your availability. If it would be helpful, you can include other NCDENR personnel who might have interest in this topic. If it would help you with your review of the application, you are certainly invited to come to our site and physically look at where the river water sediment is currently impounded and where we would like to place it. So for now please just let me know if our project would be "Dedicated" or "Non -Dedicated" so that I am working with the correct form. Thanks for your assistance. 1 DEQ-CFW 00059908 Mille Michael E.
