Summary of Communication:
During a conference call on January 11, 2006, DuPont -Fayetteville decided to take the
lead with regard to sampling public water systems (PWSs) located in the vicinity of the plant.
DuPont will contact the PWSs and arrange a time to collect the samples. (Samples will be
collected during a comprehensive RF1 sampling event scheduled for the week of January 23.)
EPA -Region 4 and NC HWS will also participate in sample collection. Samples from each well
will be split with DuPont, and EPA Region 4 will have the splits analyzed for C-S. The PWSs to
be sampled are:
Participants in the conference call were Yvonne Martin (Region 4-WPEB), Mike Neill
(Region 4-SESD), Mike Johnson (DuPont -Fayetteville), and Larry Stanley (NC-HWS).
