Georgia has taken no regulatory action. Two PWSs were impacted by PFOA / PFOS and they have implemented
corrective measures to stay well below the health advisory threshold. We did some surface water sampling in the Coosa
River basin last year. VVeare considering additional sampling.

Doug,
TN has not developed an official policy, guidance or regulation.
TN has conducted some limited activity only to address unregulated contaminants for which Health advisories have
been issued. We pushed the Health Advisory Information and guidance on HABs and PFCs to our PWS. We asked
water systems with detects of PFCA/PFCS to conduct a year of quarterly monitoring to confirm that levels were below
the HA. We also partnered with our State Health Agency to monitor source and finished water for cyanobacteria and
cyanot:oxins at: selected facilities that were determined to be vulnerable.

I have been asked by my Director of Environmental Affairs to poll the other states in Region 4 to determine
what if any action have been taking to address unregulated contaminants. I know what I have read in the
papers about the Gen X issue in North Carolina and I have heard some anecdotal stories about PFOA and

Has your state taken any official action or have any guidance concerning "addressing" any unregulated
contaminants in drinking water?
Thanks in advance for your assistance.
