I am thinking about introducing 3 concrete examples - in the interest of moving towards action: Low level organic that has (1) no drinking water standard ("unregulated contaminant") but (2) a stream water quality standard - example 1,4- dioxane Low level organic that has (1) a health goal/health advisory level for drinking water but (2) is otherwise unregulated - example GenX A reactive constituent that is (1) non -toxic from an ecotoxicological perspective but (2) forms organic and inorganic disinfection byproducts that are regulated in drinking water - example bromide I will talk about sampling challenges as well as analytical challenges as part of the discussion.
