preliminary work done sofar, tofacilitate discussion at the meeting about needed refinements oradditionc
/was able todoomore refined search to8fSites in the Cape Fear. /sot the search distance for 2mile with in the
Cape Fear, How, Deep and Rocky Rivers. Attached are spreadsheets with the results ofeach search. / can easily

Over the last few months the DVVR has been gathering surface water data on 1/4 Dioxane in the [ape Fear River Basin.
1,4 Dioxane is of concern at our public water supply facilities, however we do we have a good handle on the likely source
of the 1,4 dioxane. I am hoping that me and two other DWR staff can come by the afternoon of Monday Feb 91hto
show you the data and ask for DWM assistance in verifying locational data on DWM sites, and in identifying potential
sources ofthe l,4dioxane. We should need only 30 minutes to go over a few maps and explain in more detail what we
are asking for.
