Questions I have about the sampling plan: 1. What are the reporting limits for the proposed bromide and 1,4-dioxane methods? 2. The proposal states: "Samples from stations in close proximity to power plants and/or public water treatment plants with elevated UCNM3 results will also be analyzed for 1,4-dioxane." I don't have evidence that 1,4-dioxane is associated with power plants. Also, UCMR3 results are only available for communities serving >1 0,000 people. I hope the sampling plan for 1,4-dioxane takes into consideration results DEQ and NCSU. If all sampling locations marked with "2" in the table will be analyzed for 1,4-dioxane, the approach is OK. 3. Will bromide sampling at or near drinking water intakes be coordinated with collection date of DBP compliance samples? Will you be at the meeting tomorrow? M 1: 1111 =-- Would you mind looking over this sampling plan to see if it is sufficient to continue tracking the Dioxane problem.
