Hello Dr. Strynar, my name is Mack Coyle- I am organizing a panel of experts to discuss the
industrial pollution affecting our community in Wilmington, NC.
One of your colleagues recommended I invite you to be a part of this event. We are convening
this panel in response to the recent revelations of the compounds C6 and C8 which are prevalent
in the Cape Fear River, and which have been shown to be contaminating the CFPUA water
system.
Our community is gripped with fear and uncertainty, and because of the complex nature of the
problem it is difficult to understand the danger or the severity of the contamination.
I ask you, please, will you come to Wilmington and participate in this panel- we need
information, accurate information, and I have been told that you are a preeminent expert in this
field.
We will hold our panel discussion as soon as possible, but I have not set a certain date yet - as I
am communicating with a small number of other qualified experts to join you in helping our
community.
