Dear Ms. Holman,
I read your letter in response to CFPUA's request for guidance. While I understand your lack of
authority to set standards on emerging contaminants, I believe NDEQ has primacy over
implementation over existing regulations. Therefore, I think it would be both appropriate and
prudent for NDEQ to suspend Chemours's NPDES permit for discharging GenX until we learn
more about the potential health impacts.
