Hi everyone,
f400sc find attached the revised draft Cape Fear River Partnership Basin Action Plan. l am sending this out to
seek higher level organizationalreview and concurrence from your organizationsbefore vverelease the
document for public review. As previously stated, there will be 4vveeks for this organizational review step
(Oct. 15th - Nov. 12th). Please let me know no later than Nov. 12th that your organization is comfortable with
this draft being released for public review. VVcneed tnkeep the plan moving forward and finalize ituothat vve
can begin implementation. The Nov. 12th deadline will allow us time to quickly turn around the plan, fonnat it

for public review, and hold a public comment period before refining and finalizing the final plan. We are not
seeking an additional round of text edits at this stage since we sent the previous draft around for working group
member review over the summer and we've tried to incorporate your comments and edits into this version.
Instead, please let me know only if there are factual errors or any red flag issues/concerns that your
organization cant live with the plan going out forpublic review containing. For any such issues, please be
specific; ifyou suggest changing text or an action please send me the revised wording that you would like to see
in the plan (in tracked changes in the document) so that we can address your concern.
As a reminder, the plan will be circulated for formal clearance and signature at the final plan stage (after it is
revised based on the public comment period). We are not seeking formal clearance or signature at this stage,
just a level of review that makes your organization comfortable with the plan being released for public comment
as a draft (this level of review is likely to be different among our different organizations).
You will be hearing more from me soon regarding the public review/comment period and some potential dates
for our next working group meeting.
Please let me know where you are in your organizational level review process by Oct. 29 (in 2 weeks) so that I
can help you try to address any unexpected challenges.
