Subject: Water Treatment Plants failing toxicity tests
Attachments: VVTPsand Toxstatus June 2010summary.x|s
Cindy,
Attached is an excel spreadsheet listing all the VVTPs in NC under the following categories:
Conventional, RO's,IE's, Greensand, and a summary list of WTPs failing tox tests (sheet 5). |twas originally assumed
that only RO's and IE in freshwater were failing. However, half the RO's failing are in saltwater and out of a total of 24
IE's (IE facilities and IE & Greensand Facilities) submitting WET test results, 12 are failing (9 in freshwater, 3 in saltwater).
Really like your idea about meeting with Regional consultants and looking into possible solutions. After you review the
failing facilities and their tox results perhaps that will give you a better feel for which Regions we should meet with. Al
Hodge has always been active indealing with VVTPsaswell.
| am assuming you will take the lead in this and set-up the meeting with the Regional consultants to discuss this further,
please let meknow otherwise.
Thanks,
Julie
