Below is a bulleted summary of our conversation: -The ppox recommendation of l ug/L was roughly based on the low end of the recommended range in their draft PpoA risk assessment (0.9 - l.§ ug/L). The draft risk assessment (RA) is no longer in the public domain. -The sAn is awaiting publication of 2 more studies before they get back to work on the pFoA RA. -The sAo's current priority is the arsenic risk assessment for their own Air Toxirs program. -It will be a minimum of 6 months before they get back to rpoA. -The Air Toxics program could be eliminated by the wc legislature because they claim it duplicates a federal program and is not needed. The program is currently gathering data to support its existence. There is a chance the Air Toxic Program' along with the sAo, would be eliminated 3uly I' Z011. -or. zordan suggested using the EPA provisional health advisory of 0.4 ug/L as the IMxc until the sAa pFoA risk assessment is finalized or until the spx finalizes the provisional health advisory, whichever comes first. sPA's ppox HA is located at http://water.epa.guv/action/advisories/drinking/upload/ZOO9_0I_l5_criteria_drinking_pha-ppox_rpos.pdf z previously polled the opx and own on the need to change the ppox zpmc. or. xudn suggested changing it to the EPA provisional health advisory and the owM thought we should wait until the sxa or the EPA finalized their draft values. Let's think about this and discuss how we want to move forward with PpoA when z return next week.
