The amendment is to add lime to the list of Potential Discharges Not Covered by Analysis required by Form 2C-Item VI. An updated list of chemicals is attached. Please include this with the relevant permit files. Lime will be used for conditioning and dewatering coal combustion residuals stored in the primary and secondary ash basins prior to transfer to onsite landfill. It is our understanding that with this modification to the existing permit application, no permit modification would be necessary and Duke is authorized to utilize these additives to assure compliance with NPDES permit limits and keep the dewatering system operational.
