REGAN Secretary LINDA CULPEPPER Director NORTH CAROLINA Environmental Quality December 21, 2018 Ms. Allison Kraft (via email) Director of Public Utilities Town of Mooresville Post Office Box 878 Mooresville, North Carolina 28115 Subject: Compliance Inspection Report Permit No. WQ0036723 Distribution of Residual Solids (503) Mooresville, Iredell County Dear Ms. Kraft: Mooresville Regional Office (MRO) staff, performed a compliance evaluation inspection on December 5, 2018, for permit WQ0036273. The MRO would like to extend its appreciation to Mr. Jamie Levis and his crew for their time and assistance during this site visit. Enclosed you will find the report for the compliance inspection. During the site visit, MRO staff were informed that the dryer belt had broken several weeks ago and therefore, all residuals being produced at the Mooresville WWTP were being transported via Synagro to the Republic Landfill for disposal. Please be aware that Condition IV.8. of the permit requires that the MRO be notified when there are process unit failures that render the facility incapable of adequate residual treatment. During the site visit, the MRO requested to be informed when the dryer has been returned to service. The report should be self-explanatory. Should you have any questions regarding this report, feel free to contact Edward Watson at edward.watson(a-)ncdner.gov, or 704-235-2198. Sincerely, d by: L DocuSigneH P4+44 rew s .
