This project consists of installation of new20" waterline within the NCDOT right-of-way, from the City of Eden limits to the NCNA state line along US 311.
The project site is located in Rockingham County, North Carolina. The southern section of the project begins at the Dry Creek crossing located along US-311/NC-770 (36.523503°N, -
79.686749°W), and parallels US-311/NC-770 to the north-northeast to the North Carolina - Virginia border (36.541536°N, -79.629052°W).

Where possible within the NCDOT right-of-way, wetlands are avoided during constructions. In order to avoid wetlands and streams to the greatest
extent possible, some easements were obtained by the City to jog around these areas to minimize temporary impacts.

Temporary pump around or piping will be implemented to allowfor water to continue to flowthrough the stream during construction. Otherwise, a dam
will be installed to prevent siltation in the stream bottom while the pipe is being installed.
