Dear Mr. Cronland:
On October 25, 2018, the Division of Energy, Mineral and Land Resources received notice of your
facility being closed. Additionally, your letter served as your request to rescind your coverage under
permit number NCG210447.
Upon review of your request and recommendation from our Mooresville Regional Office, your request
for rescission has been denied. The request was denied because our inspector observed materials that are
still being exposed to stormwater, including: sawdust, railroad ties, various scrap metals, and stockpiled
wood. Prior to rescinding the permit, all industrial materials must be removed. You may resubmit a
rescission request once the above mentioned items are corrected. Until the time that a rescission request is
approved, your permit will remain in effect and you must continue to comply with the requirements
therein.
