You could also consider making the proposed channel less deep so the top width is narrower. Have you contractor look at the stable channel depths and dimensions on portions of the channel upstream of the work area. I should be able to process your permit by early next week. The DWR has determined that your application is incomplete and cannot be processed. The application is on -hold until the following information is received: 1. The provided site plan (A0.1) provides a proposed cross-section for the relocated stream channel. The proposed cross-section has the following dimensions: bottom width 2 -feet, depth 2 -feet, top width 4 -feet. This results in a side slope of 0.5:1. The DWR has concerns about the stability of these steep side slopes and incised stream channel. Please submit an updated proposed cross-section with side slopes no steeper than 2:1 or provide justification for the proposed cross-section in your original submittal. Pursuant to Title 15A NCAC 02H .0502, the applicant shall furnish all of the above requested information for the proper consideration of the application. If all of the requested information is not received within 30 calendar days of receipt of this email, the DWR will be unable to approve the application and it will be returned. The return of this project will necessitate reapplication to the DWR for approval, including a complete application package and the appropriate fee.
