Specifically describe measures taken to avoid or minimize the proposed impacts in designing the project: Spur dike is being built to a minimum area and still allowfor an area large enough for equipment to safety operation in order to remove sediment from in front of the station intake structure. tb. Specifically describe measures taken to avoid or minimize the proposed impacts through construction techniques: The station intake will be in operation during the construction activity. Experience shows that suspended material will be pumped into the station which is cleaned up in plant and/or waste treatment systems. Historical measures such as turbidity curtains do not work since the curtains get pulled in toward the station due to the intake pumping capacity. 2.
