Duke Energy has no objection to the path forward you outlined here. I'll let the station know that the three outfalls from the monofill will be added to the NPDES ISW at renewal. Thank you tori rr . Do you have any objections to this approach I sent earlier this month? Thanks, Bethany 1 From: Georgoulias, Bethany Sent: Friday, October 19, 2018 11:24 AM To:'Tollie, Lori White' <Lori.Tollie@duke-energy.com> Cc: Lucas, Annette <annette.lucas@ncdenr.gov> Subject: Mayo Monofill NCG12 Permit COC Renewal Lori, I have the request letter from Duke Energy asking for guidance on what to do with NCG120101's renewal, and I will address it with a response letter. I wanted to run by you our thoughts on it at this time. With the reissuance of NCG120000 that will be effective November 1St, the new general permit will only be effective for three years (expiring in May 2021) to get us back on an even -loaded cycle of General Permits in the NPDES Industrial Program. I see that the Mayo Steam Station's individual permit also expires in 2021 (on 12/31/2021). If Duke Energy is amenable to renewal of the monofill stormwater under the NCG120000 with continued modified monitoring (with an augmented COC, as it holds today), we could process the modification of adding the monofill area to the Steam Station's individual stormwater permit at the time of renewal. That way the changes will go to public notice on the original schedule. Let me know your thoughts on this approach.
