SUBJECT: Compliance Evaluation Inspection Report

Dear Mr. Miller:
On September 20, 2018, Paul DiMatteo of this office met with Jim Day and Joey Musgrave to perform a
Compliance Evaluation Inspection on the subject facility. The purpose of the inspection was to evaluate
compliance with the subject Certificate of Coverage. The attached inspection form notes the areas that were
evaluated for this inspection. The findings and observations are outlined as follows.
I. Facility Site Review
Furnace cooling water does not contact product and is contained in an entirely closed-loop system.
Coolant is added to the cooling water as a rust inhibiter. If a cooling water holding tank were to leak, floor drains
lead to a storage tank where the water would be held until it is boiled off. The certificate is maintained for
emergency situations only. Please note that any discharge that,occurs must be monitored as specified in Part
I.A of the Permit. A copy of the most recent permit is attached to this report.

On September 20, 2018, Paul DiMatteo of the Division of Water Resources met Jim Day and Joey
Musgrave to conduct a Compliance Evaluation Inspection of the subject general permit. There is no
discharge of process water or furnance cooling water. Furnace cooling water is contained in an entirely
close-loop system A storage tank/floor drain is available should one of the cooling water holding tanks
leak, and water in this drain is boiled off. The permit is being maintained in case of emergency.The
operators said that coolant is added to the cooling water to inhibit rust.
