Subject: Rescission of State Permit No. WQ0006229
Iredell County BOC - Fairgrounds
Iredell County
The Division of Environmental Management has received .information from the
Mooresville Regional Office which confirms that the subject facility is no longer engaged in
pump and haul activities as authorized by the subject permit. Therefore, as you requested,
State Permit No. WQ0006229 will be rescinded, effective immediately.
Please be advised that the Division discourages the issuance of pump and haul permits
and views this activity as an unacceptable means of long term wastewater treatment.
Operation of a wastewater system without a Nondischarge Permit will subject the owner to
a civil penalty of up to $10,000 per day.
