The Division of Environmental Management has received information from the Winston Salem
Regional Office which confirms that the remediation of petroleum contaminated soils activities are
complete at the First Union National Bank - Oakwoods Complex facility, as authorized by the subject
permit. Therefore, as you requested, Permit Number WQ0005072 is hereby rescinded, effective
immediately.
If in the future, you determine that you want to engage in soil remediation activities, you must first
apply for and receive a new Nondischarge permit. Failure to obtain a valid Nondischarge Permit for such
activities will subject the owner to a civil penalty of up to $10,000 per day.
