The Division has received the request dated February 14, 1997 from Delta Environmental
Consultants, Inc, on your behalf, concerning the rescission of Non -Discharge Permit No. WQ0000507.
Four consultants have stated that disposal of the remediated groundwater will be exclusively discharged
ader NPDES General Permit NCG510093 and that the infiltration gallery will no longer be utilized.
Therefore, as you requested, Non -Discharge Permit No. WQ0000507 will be rescinded, effective
immediately.
If in the future, you determine that you need another Non -Discharge groundwater remediation
permit, you must first apply for and receive a new Non -Discharge Permit. Operation of a non -discharge
groundwater remediation system without a valid Non -Discharge Permit will subject Laney Oil Company to
a civil penalty of up to $10,000 per day.
If there is a need for any additional information of clarification, please contact,,Mr; Michael D.
Allen,at (919) 733-5083 extension 547.
Sincerely,
J'A'4reston ard, Jr., P.E.
