Dear Mr. Myers:
This letter is in reference to your request received May 26, 1988, for an
amendment to Permit No. 5748R2, which was issued on January 17, 1985.
Permit No. 5748R2, which was issued on January 17, 1985, is amended to now be
issued as Permit No. WQ0000461 and to include the following conditions:
1) The Jim Park's Site, JPI, which consists of approximately 18 acres, is
included as a new land application site.
2) No sludge shall be applied on the Jim Parks Site (JPT) within 100 feet of
the rock outcroppings located in the northern portion of this field.
3) Condition. No. 27 which is specified in Permit No. 5748R2 A2, which was
issued on February 21, 1986, is amended to read as Follows:

The results of the sampling and analysis shnll be sent to the N.C.
Division of Environmental Management on Form GW -59 (Compliance Monitoring
Report Form) every April, August and December..
The field which is owned by Abitibi -Price snd which is designated as AP22 is
not approved for land application of sludge due to the presence of bedrock at a depth
of two (2) feet below land surface. Abitibi -Price may have this field evaluated
further by a soils scientist to determine if certain portions of the field are
acceptable for sludge land application. I
This permit does not alter any other conditions or limitations specified in
Permit No. WQ0000461 (old number 5748R2).
