On December 16, 2009. we received a letter from Wayne Watterson of S&ME, sent on behalf of Huffman Oil
Company, requesting rescission of the subject Groundwater Remediation Permit. This permit cannot be rescinded
until the groundwater remediation system has been closed in accordance with requirements specified in rule 15A
NCAC 02T .1608 and the attached policy "Guidelines for Infiltration Gallery Closure and Injection Well
Abandonment at Groundwater Remediation Sites." Please note that this rule and guidance require submission of
documentation before and after system closure.
Until the permit has been rescinded, you are required to meet all applicable rule and permit requirements, including
the monitoring and reporting requirements specified in Part III and IV of your permit and payment of your $810
permit annual fee, which was due on November 7, 2009. For billing inquiries please contact Fran McPherson at
