Name/ Ownership Change Form for NCG080063 Mecklenburg County Fleet Management Shop
I have attached the form to change name/ ownership for this facility. I cannot have previous legal owner sign as he is no
longer with the County so I left that blank. I also signed it for the City just to get this done. If this is not sufficient, I could
have the current Mecklenburg County Shop Manager, Marcus McAdoo and Mike Davis, City Engineer, sign it? I have
attached the form that I signed. I am preparing a signatory letter for Mike Davis, City Engineer, to sign next so I could get
his signature then if that is necessary.
As I explained on the phone, the ownership of the facility is not really changing; it’s just the permittee that is changing.
That is why I cannot produce the legal documents required by the application for ownership change. The County will
remain the land and building owner and the County’s fleet vehicles will continue to be maintained there. The employees
and management are all City; always have been. The City wants to take ownership of the permit because we have
ultimate control over the best practices and management implemented there.
