Description of Dredge Cut Profile
The scope of work is to remove sediment that has accumulated under the boat house to increase access
to Lake Wylie. Work will be performed using a barge mounted, long reach mechanical bucket dredge
that will excavate the spoils and place them directly on a designated spoils barge. The material will be
off-loaded from the lake utilizing the boat ramp access at Charlotte Fire Station 38 located at 12100
Shopton Road West, Charlotte. Spoils will be transported, via dump truck, to a final off-site disposal site
located at Hatfield Road in Charlotte.
SHOWN IN GREEN Charlotte Fire Station 38 (maintenance of existing). Work involves the mechanical
removal of approximately 233 cubic yards of sediment from underneath the floating boat house. Depth
of cut is 11 feet when measured at full pond. Impacted area is 0.14 acres.
