Groundwater
7. Describe the treatment process(es) for the raw water:
Raw water is aerated and treated using ion exchange. Once aerated water is softened and then
filtered (anion exchange) for removal of bromide and TOC. The piping is designed to bypass 25%
of the raw water and blend with softened water. The blend water flows to the anion exchange
vessels. Effluent is disinfected by gas chlorine prior to distribution system.

facility:
Wastewater consists of a mixture of sodium chloride (brine) and treated water. No treatment
occurs prior to discharge.
