Once aerated water is softened and then filtered (anion exchange) for removal of bromide and TOC. The piping is designed to bypass 25% of the raw water and blend with softened water. The blend water flows to the anion exchange vessels. Effluent is disinfected by gas chlorine prior to distribution system. 8. Describe the wastewater and the treatment process(es) for wastewater generated by the facility: Wastewater consists of a mixture of sodium chloride (brine) and treated water.
