Exposed Significant Materials Inventory The industrial activities exposed to stormwater include outdoor bulk material storage, unloading and loading of bulk chemicals, unloading raw materials, loading finished product, waste compactors and dumpsters, utility -owned transformers, wood pallet storage, roof drains and Facility asphalt drive. Industrial activities and materials stored and/or unloaded outdoors are listed in Table 2: Industrial Activities Exposed to Stormwater and identified on Figure B-2 by yellow circles with the ID # as listed in Table 2. All areas of significant industrial activity receive semi-annual documented inspections and the Facility layout is such that all areas are observed during work hours by personnel trained to respond to, or report, spills or abnormal operating conditions. The Facility has implemented bulk receiving procedures for chemical unloading areas, good housekeeping practices and routine inspections of storage areas and receiving areas to further minimize the potential for stormwater contamination. However, minor amounts of raw materials and sediments could be entrained in stormwater due to minor spills and/or equipment leaks and minor amounts of erosion. Such materials could potentially affect Hydrocarbons, Oil and Grease, Metals, Total Suspended Solids (TSS), Biological Oxygen Demand (BODS), Chemical Oxygen Demand (COD) and pH content of stormwater run-off. The types of pollutants potentially present in stormwater discharges are also identified in Table 2 for each industrial activity/significant material. Page 2-3
