Mr. Hennessy:
Before our facility started submitting DMRs electronically, a UV disinfection box was
checked on the paper DMRs, this information was entered into your BIMS database by
DWR data entry personnel and the particular monitoring requirement for our system was
met. However, in the eDMR system,there is no longer a UV box to be checked; therefore,
each month BIMS identifies monitoring violations for missing TRC data. We request a
permit modification to make the TRC monitoring optional (only required when chlorine
or a chlorine derivative is used), because the newly installed septic system has UV
disinfection, and under normal conditions, chlorine is not used for disinfection.
