Good Morning,
In the original PCN it was stated that material removed from the Southdock entrance
channel dredging project would be placed on the beach to protect the hairpin turn.
After discussing our options with DCM, NCDOT will now be placing that material into the
upland spoil site adjacent to the docks. NCDOT currently has a Special Use Permit from
the National Park Service to use this spoil site and they have indicated there are no
nesting birds at this time that will impact our project.
