General Project Narrative: State project B-5322 involves the replacement of the existing NCDOT Bridge #720051 on SR 1343 over Richland Creek. Bridge #720051 consists of 1@30'-9", 1@30', 1@30'-
(Description of Minimization of Water 9" on timber floor and I-Beams with timber caps and piles. The proposed bridge consists of 1@100' 39" Box Beam with 4'-0" caps. The proposed crossing is located in Zone AE
Quality Impacts) of FIRM Map number 3710997700J and was studied by No Study methods. Two stormwater outFalls are proposed which will be placed at a distance to minimize disturbance to
adjacent stream. Rip Rad pads will be utilized to dissipate the energy. No deck drains are required for the proposed bridge.
