Subject: U-3109B, Alamance Co., question regarding mitigation
Dave-
We are currently working on the permit application for U-3109B in Alamance Co. Chris Underwood informed me that
they are still in the process of finalizing things for the on-site mitigation for the project; however, there is a potential
that this will not be completed by the time that we would need to submit the permit modification request. The let date
for the project is currently July, with a let review date at the end of May, so we would need to submit the application in
the very near future to stay on schedule. We currently have DMS coverage for the B Section impacts since we had to
acquire it when we submitted the initial permit application last year. Would it be possible to submit the modification
request with DMS covering the mitigation requirements, then submit a modification to that in the future to convert the
mitigation from DMS to on-site when Chris is able to finalize that information? Also, if this is possible, would we submit
that as a modification to the IP modification or would it need to be submitted in another way or under another permit
type? If you could email me back when you have an opportunity it would be much appreciated.
Thanks and have a great weekend,
Jim
