Subject: RE: [External] 205 Bungalow Rd. - Lot 14 - The Reserves of Holly Ridge
Mrs. Sunday,
This follows our phone call this a.m. Thank you and I appreciate the clarification on the work that was done at your
property (Lot 14), and I will coordinate with Cameron to determine the current owner(s) of Lot 15. Per the conditions of
the state and federal permits and deed restrictions for the lots within this subdivision, the remaining wetlands area
cannot be cut and maintained (please refer to your recorded deed).
As discussed, if you and your husband would like to construct a fence on your property, the portion of the fencing within
the jurisdictional wetlands cannot have concrete, just the post/pile supporting the fencing. I would contact the local
level to help you determine if a building permit is required. Mr. Kenneth Morrison and Mr. Dennis Albright with the
Town of Holly Ridge would be your contacts. Their number is 910-329-7081.
At this point, no further action in relation to your property will be taken by this office. However, please respond that
you have received this email; and by all means, feel free to let me know if you need any further assistance.
Thank you,
Robb Mairs

Hello Mr. Mairs,
This is Tiffany Sunday, property owner of 205 Bunglaow Rd. (Lot 14) in the preserves. I left you a voicemail the other day
and received your voicemail in return. I wanted to reach out to you through email and speak with you about what we can
and cannot do with our property and the wetlands on our property. We rented a small push behind bush hog that was
brought onto our property by a trailer hooked up to my husband's Toyota 4 runner. We brought it down our driveway and
bush hogged the side of our house and the back yard because we would like to put up a fence. We have not accessed
our lot at all from Lot 15 or any of the adjacent lots. We would like to put up a fence in our back yard and would like to
know what the necessary steps are to get that approved besides getting it approved with the HOA. I would like to know
what we need to do in regards to the wetlands. I was under the understanding that you could cut down the brush on
wetlands as long as the soil was not disturbed. We did not know we are in violation of cutting down brush on our own
property and are very sorry if we were in violation and disturbed the wetlands. I hope to get some more information from
you on what needs to be done to make this right.
I also wanted to speak about lot 15 and 16 and how my father-in-law saw a heavy machine on that lot a few weeks ago.
My husband also noted the rutting on the lot and how it is holding a lot of water. There is no way that the small push
behind bush hog could have made those ruts or my husbands Toyota 4 runner. I also have pictures of the trailer that
brought in the bush hog sitting in our driveway and I think it is pretty clear that we bush hogged the side yard of our house
around to the back yard.
I hope to hear back from you soon.
Respectfully,
Tiffany Sunday
