Pump Station Contingency Plan
Hoke County owns and operates eleven (11) wastewater pump stations as part of
the Hoke County Collection System. Each pump station is equipped with a
Supervisory Control And Data Acquisition (SCADA) which monitors the stations
24n. The SCADA system is set to notify the Collection System ORC and other
appropriate staff when an alarm occurs.
All County owned pump stations were design and constructed with pump
redundancy and capacity necessary to handle the peak tributary flow. Also, each
pump station is outfitted with an stand-by diesel power generator and automatic
transfer switch which is capable of providing auxiliary power in the event the
primary power fails.
