The project purpose is to replace a deteriorating timber bridge with a new 3-sided culvert.

The project involves temporary dewatering of a section of Messer Branch and removal, in stages, of an old timber
bridge. Also in stages will be excavation for footers along the stream channel for pre-cast concrete bottomless
culvert sections . Track-hoes, cranes, and other heavy equipment will be used.
