Buck Steam Station Rowan County Dear Ms. Georgoulias, r LLa u V vv 1 p 1V FEB 2, 0 2018 Duke Energy Buck Combined Cycle 1385 Salisbury Roao Salisbury NC 28146 Duke Energy Carolinas, LLC (Duke) is requesting an update to the NPDES Industrial Stormwater permit application for the subject facility. This update is in addition to the renewal application submitted September 29, 2014, previous update submitted July 15, 2017(via email), and the January 6, 2018 update. Due to demolition activities located at the retired steam station, potential exists for damage to storm drains from heavy equipment required to complete the work. We plan to plug SW Outfall 003 that discharges directly to the Yadkin River. Flows from the SW003 drainage area will be directed to the steam station basement sump. Additional stormwater protection measures will be implemented along the Yadkin -side of the SW003 drainage area.
