Stephen, Garcy,
Bill is in the process of sealing the plans for letting purposes. He would like an confirmation from you that you guys
concurred to the changes below. I know it has been a while since we discussed this and the permits are already issued,
and I appreciated the quick turnaround on that. Please feel free to call me and discuss.
Thank you,

All,
After a field meeting with the agencies onsite, we have to revise the southeast and northwest quadrants of the bridge:
- For the northwest quadrant of the bridge, the ditch will have two typical sections. The portion of the ditch
between the end of the guardrail and the creek will remain the same. The portion between the end of the
guardrail to the driveway pipe will only have rip-rap with fabric on the front slope and back slope. The bottom of
the ditch will not have rip-rap or fabric to ensure the growth of vegetation. The location and elevation of the
ditch will remain as proposed.
- For the southeast quadrant of the bridge, we will have the required shoulder width behind the guardrail. And tie
the shoulder into the existing ditch line with a roughly 1.5:1 slope. The slope with be stabilized with fabric and
1
rip rap. The purpose of this change is to minimize the wetland impact and try to get below the 2500 sq. ft.
threshold and remain a GP permit.
- For the southwest quadrant of the bridge, I asked Tim to check and see if we have enough data points from
survey to determine if we can fill in the existing ditch so the water will sheet flow into the wetlands. If we have
enough data, we need to see how far we need to carry the fill to and determine if we can minimize the wetland
impact from that quadrant. This quadrant’s work is being looked into but not confirmed.
Please feel free to call me and discussed if anyone needs more clarification. Since we are behind schedule, I would
appreciate everyone’s effort to expedite this anyway possible.
Thank you,
Hon F. Yeung, PE
