HomeMy WebLinkAbout20140957 Ver 2_Email_20170330Zimmerman, Jay From: Burdette, Jennifer a Sent: Thursday, March 30, 2017 11:06 AM To: Zimmerman, Jay Cc: Higgins, Karen; Poupart, Jeff Subject: Atlantic Coast Pipeline Jay, The ACP proposed in NC includes 186 miles of 36 -in natural gas transmission pipeline and appurtenances (metering and regulating stations, valve sites and pig launchers) in Northampton, Halifax, Nash, Wilson, Johnston, Sampson, Cumberland, and Robeson Counties generally along 1-95 and a new compressor station in Northampton The construction ROW will measure 110 to 135 feet in width in uplands and 75 feet in wetlands. The permanent ROW will measure 50 feet in width with limited permanent maintenance in weltands and riparian buffers. Dominion plans to cross the Roanoke River, Fishing Creek, Swift Creek, Tar River, Contentnea Creek, Little River and Cape River using the horizontal direction drill method. Other waterbody and wetland crossings will be accomplished using open -cut, flume, dam and pump, conventional bore, or cofferdam methods Most wetland crossings will be accomplished using the open cut method. Once the pipeline is constructed and installed the ground will be restored to pre -construction -contours. Temporary impacts proposed include 455 acres of wetlands and 36,022 feet of streams. Permanent impacts proposed include 172 acres of wetlands to construct permanent access roads. Please let me know if you need any additional information.
