Thank you for your response regarding the stormwater application for Union Power’s Flowes Store Substation. We
always appreciate the coordination and guidance with the Stormwater Permitting Staff regarding these critical energy
delivery projects. Thus far we’ve received all other land development permits for this project and are scheduled to submit
a Conditional Use Application next Tuesday, November 14th to Cabarrus County, who requires that all permits be
th
obtained prior to the submittal. We submitted the stormwater application on October 5 with the thought that was in
plenty of time to obtain the permit based on the expeditious reviews we’ve received from your staff in the
past. Respectfully, now knowing that you didn’t anticipate wrapping up review until the end of next week, is there any
way that a review can be completed by Monday, November 13.

We sincerely appreciate the consideration given to meet this critical energy delivery project schedule.

I am the reviewer for this permit. I anticipate starting the review next week but I have two site visits stuck in the middle
of the week. I plan to complete by the end of the week. I will let you know if I have any comments or questions.

Laura,

I was hoping to touch base and see where this project stood. Do you think you could put me in touch with the engineer
assigned to it? We are trying to receive all our permits back in order to file them for a conditional use hearing with
Cabarrus county and I want to make sure that we are not holding up the review process at any point. I apologize for
continuing to try to check on the status of the project, but this is the only permit we have not heard back from and are
quickly approaching the last date for submittal to get on the conditional use permit docket for review.
