The Division of Water Resources (DWR) has performed a review of a Shoreline Stabilization application dated October
30, 2017 and received by the Division of Water Resources (Division) on November 8, 2017. The application is on -hold
until additional information is received.
1. The total length of shoreline stabilization proposed in this application exceeds the 500 linear feet that can be
permitted under a USACE General Permit 30 and corresponding DWR Water Quality Certification 4098. Please
see page 5, paragraph S within the attached USACE General Permit 30 for clarification. Please contact the US
Army Corps of Engineers for information on how to proceed. The Asheville Regulatory Field office can be
reached at 828-271-7980.
Pursuant to Title 15A NCAC 02H .0502, the applicant shall furnish all of the above requested information for the proper
consideration of the application. If all of the requested information is not received within 45 calendar days of receipt of
this email, the DWR will be unable to approve the application and it will be returned. The return of this project will
necessitate reapplication to the DWR for approval, including a complete application package and the appropriate fee.
