I agree with David's comments below. Unfortunately I'm very behind in paperwork right now and have been unable to
send out an official letter approving the restoration proposal. Please consider this email as approval to proceed as
noted in David's email and I will send a final compliance letter to document when all restoration work has been
completed.

Thank you for your email and permit non-compliance response plan. The Corps approves your plan and appreciates that
the plan designers have been retained to oversee construction. Per our 8/7/2017 permit non-compliance letter, you
have 30 days (by 12/6/2017) to complete the work according to the plan specifications. Please keep the Corps and
NCDWR informed as work progresses, and send notification and pictures upon work completion.
Note that, in addition to the work proposed/approved, the Corps suggests planting live stakes of riparian shrubs (e.g.
silky dogwood [Cornus amomum]) or trees to aid in long term stability of stream banks.
