SummarySTORMWATER MANAGEMENT SUMMARY FOR WAXHAW WINE Providence Road South, Waxhaw Union County, NC James Diehl 111 Strawpocket Lane Mooresville, NC 28117 Date: 12.19.17 Project No: 17-035 2 DEVELOPMENT SUMMARY The site is located on Providence Road South in Waxhaw, Union County, NC, roughly 1.8 miles north of the intersection of Providence Road South (Hwy 16) and South Main Street (Hwy 75). The 12.1-acre site currently consists of wooded area with some open vegetated areas and is zoned as CD-C2. Twelvemile Creek runs through the property and the majority of the site is sloped downward from the roadway towards the creek. PROPOSED DEVELOPMENT The proposed development of the site includes two commercial buildings, one storage building and associated parking lots. The estimated build-upon area, including the concrete, asphalt, and buildings, is 44%, based on the drainage area of 4.48-acres. The storm drainage system will be installed in order to capture all on-site runoff and route the stormwater to the wet pond. The pond has been designed to treat the 1-inch water quality volume and attenuate the 10- and 25-year peak flow rate. The stormwater will then be discharged into the creek. A riprap apron has been designed at the outfall in order to avoid erosion issues.
