Please find attached the stream buffer determination letter for the proposed mine site across from Mr. Robert Jones
active mine on Winn Circle near Vanceboro, Craven County. As discussed on-site to assist in addressing concerns of
potential impacts to jurisdictional wetlands and/or water within the proposed mine boundary or offsite from proposed
mining activities, this Office recommended identifying the jurisdictional areas and having them surveyed prior to plan
submittal to the Division of Energy, Mining, and Land Resources. In addition, this Office recommended a preliminary
review of the proposed application to discuss possible concerns from mining activities on jurisdictional wetlands and/or
water and proposed methods to address those concerns. If you have any further questions or concerns, please feel free
