Mike,
I just spoke with Adam Nowocin, P.E. of NFocus Engineering out of Kannapolis. Adam said he
is very interested in installing Filterra systems on part of a site called Kellswater
Commons in Kannapolis.
I have copied Adam and Hunter so that they may contact each other. Hunter, I gave Adam your
phone number so that you could talk more about the project. Adam - if you decide to pursue
this, Mike Randall and I will work together to provide a "case-by-case" approval of the
stormwater management plan based on:
- Sizing the Filterra devices in accordance with the Bioretention chapter of the state BMP
Manual,
- Providing a monitoring program that will evaluate the performance of the Filterra system,
and
- Providing an assurance that the system will be replaced by another BMP if the monitoring
shows that it is not performing adequately.
