Re Authorization to Discontinue Mitigation Monitoring
Town Creek Bridge Mitigation Site, TIP No B-3115, Brunswick County
CAMA Permit No 80-04
Dear Mr Harris
This letter is in response to your correspondence dated April 3, 2008, requesting the regulatory
release of the Town Creek Bndge Mitigation Site in Brunswick County NCDOT replaced
Bridge No 60 on NC 133 over Town Creek, an existing 300-foot long by 27-foot wide timber,
steel, and concrete bridge with a 300-foot long by 36-foot wide cored slab concrete bridge on
existing alignment CAMA Permit Number 80-04, issued on 5/26/04, required mitigation for
0 01 acres of temporary wetland impacts
Based on visual observations by the DCM Transportation Field Representative on May 14, 2008
and an evaluation of the success of the site, DCM authorizes the discontinuation of monitoring
This authonzation does not eliminate the need to obtain any other approvals or authonzations
that may be required from the NC Division of Water Quality (DWQ), the US Army Corps of
Engineers (USACE), and the NC Wildlife Resources Commission
